I am a teacher, writer, editor, and occassional web designer from Toronto, and living in Flin Flon, a mining town in Manitoba, Canada.

My Life

I am curious, adventurous and I love to be creative. Since moving to Flin Flon, I have been learning to love small town life and the opportunities and challenges it brings. In recent years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in some wonderful places with my partner, Daniel. After graduating from Dalhousie in Halifax, we moved to South Korea, where we both taught ESL at YMB ECC in Daejeon. After that, we both decided to go back to school and get a BEd at OISE, University of Toronto. For two years, Dan and I worked on our Spanish skills and learned to teach with the International Baccalaureate curriculum as high school teachers at Colegio Alberto Einstein in Quito, Ecuador.

More recently, Dan and I spent a year in Toronto, Ontario (my hometown), then moved to Flin Flon in August 2012. Since 2008, our dog, Soon dae (sausage in Korean), has joined us for our adventures.
